Ninja Librarians Recon Team has arrived

I can't say that there is ever a boring moment as a youth librarian, when you are not doing programs for two and three year olds, you are helping middle school students with outlandish science fair projects, selecting new books, and trying to squeeze in some reading.  The latest fun thing I get to do is being a  member of a top-secret group, the Ninja Librarians Recon Team. If you are wondering who we are keep on reading!

You will get to meet the true Ninja Librarians in Jen Swann Downey new book The Ninja Librarians The Accidental Keyhand

Over the next few weeks you will have a chance to learn about Dorrie and her adventures but if you want to pick ahead here or if you prefer to watch the book trailer, click the video.

about the author

Jen Swann Downey's nonfiction pieces have appeared in New York Magazine, The Washington Post, Women's Day, and other publications. She's never visited a library in which she didn't want to spend the night. Jen lives in Charlottesville, VA with her family.

A few of my favorite book characters that I would love to met in real life

Andi Boggs from Andi Unexpected by Amanda Flower
Samantha Sutton from Samantha Sutton & the Labyrinth of Lies by Jordan Jacobs
Ava Lavender from The Strange & Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton
and my one boy Marcelo from Marcelo In The Real World by Francisco X. Stork

Keep watching for more updates, until then be still as a Ninja!
