Pop-Up Storytime

Last week we had our first pop-up storytime!  I had promised our families to do a few storytimes during the summer, just to keep our little group going and connected. It is a fun way to change up the week and get to see the little kids and meet the older siblings.  We had a great time and everyone loved Roly-Poly and her egg. We read

Baby oh Baby

Today was a really special class, my dept. head's grandson is visiting and showed up this morning. He is adorable.  Truly, all my babies are the most fun group to be with on a Monday morning or any other morning of the week. We played with our scarves, we shake our musical instruments to see what we could hear, and we tickle our bellybuttons until we all giggle.  So much fun to start the week. We read

Baby Bloomers- Busy Days

Today was our second morning of summer Storytime, and even though it was raining buckets our little ones made it in.  We had so much fun playing with different random objects- like the odd items on Mrs. Honey's hat.  I found this doll when we moved offices.



Today we read books about busy days and oddly all of our books ended with the busy little people going to bed.  I think our little ones were ready for a nap themselves by the end of storytime.

Flannel- Summer Beach Day

I love Liesbet Slegers' books, specially for babies, but the sizes are so small when trying to use them with a group.  So today I made a flannel for Summer Beach Day by Liesbet Slegers.  I think the babies and older kids are going to have fun with our little guy playing with his pail & bucket or eating his oversize ice-cream.

Plus I think I can do a "5" little rhyme for the shells.
